I picked up a Take Out order for my family for their "shelter in place" Easter celebration. My family purchases food from this restaurant regularly and always talks about it afterward. The staff was beyond welcoming and I could smell the food through the boxes when I arrived at the checkout counter. I am a vegetarian and requested a Chinese Chicken Salad without the chicken. My family was worried it would only be lettuce and dressing I would be eating but it was very fragrant and crunchy and the best salad I've ever had from a restaurant!Great location, too, in beautiful downtown Folsom. The inside of the restaurant looked beautiful, as well.

By far the best Chinese food in Sacramento. Very very friendly staff. Go a few times and they will know your name and treat you like family Γ°ΕΈβ€˜Βͺ

Very cute atmosphere, polite and attentive staff. The food is pretty good. We enjoyed the egg flower soup, sweet and sour chicken, and the pork fried rice. The chicken chowmein was alright, I wouldn't necessarily order it again. The Egg Fu Young was NOT GOOD, I will never order the Egg Fu Young again. I will return as the sweet and sour chicken was the best that I have ever had and I truly loved the portions and atmosphere. One last thing, my family of four shared two combo dinners and we had leftovers! Very large portions.

Surely a place worth stopping by, the food is awesome and well prepared, the costs are fair and it is always well kept there. Great work.

Excellent food and incredible service. Our waiter visited us numerous times to ensure everything was satisfactory but stayed out of the way enough to let us enjoy our meal. The owner had a lengthy conversation with us and even helped wait on our table as we had quite a large order. The egg rolls were perfect and the prawns were delectable. Reasonable prices for everything as well. I highly recommend this place.

This place is consistantly Yummy Each Time we Visit year after year. For the best lunch price try a combo plate. The booths can be a bit narrow so opt for a table. :)

Went to a birthday party here. Much bigger inside then it looks, the take out traffic was off the hook! I notice right off it was the friendliest Chinese I have ever eaten at. The staff greating take out custors by name. The food was delicious, party of twelve, we ordered six plus dishes and pasted em around. Everything was hot, fresh and delicious.Parking is alittle sparc, it is old town Folsom! Other than that it was fine. Enjoy!

I was very impressed with the food from Hop Sing Palace. The service was friendly and the price was very reasonable. This is my new favorite Chinese restaurant in town. We had the wine special which included a glass wine, appetizer and main dishes. I added an order of barbecued pork. It was all amazing and great portion of everything. I can't wait to go back.

Hop Sing is a local institution. The food is amazing and the portions are massive. The folks that work here have tons of character and personality, all in a very good way. It is definitely my favorite place to get chinese food in Folsom.

One of the best Chinese restaurants I've ever been to. The paper wrapped chicken was a great find but the eggrolls were out of this world! Beautiful dining area as well. They serve hot tea which is also a plus.

Large portions, excellent service, and delicious food. This place is a triple threat! Your first trip in here will change your life. It looks small at first but opens up to a much larger dining area in the back as well. The price is great and wont break the bank! If your in folsom this is a solid place to go!!!

This place is awesome! So old school. It has been around since 1957. Bill and Lana are amazing and they treat you like family. The family dinner option is probably the best option. The soup was amazing and the hot mustard is so hot I thought I was going to die. The cashew chicken is amazing the way that the cashews are roasted is spot-on. The fried rice tastes like a cast iron skillet which is amazing. I love it here!

Super yummy shrimp chips. The garlic on the shrimp chow fun was done beautifully and the cream cheese won tons did not disappoint. I've had the pleasure to come here three times in the past decade and I've had a good experience every time. I look forward to visiting again.

'20-1 1st time review, but long time customer:-- Street parking in front is difficult to come by (including handicap), so be prepared to park at a distance either in the free, newer parking structure to the north, OR along hilly, residential streets to south. Either way, a walk is required.-- located in Folsom's historic district for decades, the tight, old interior & booths are also it's throw-back charm.-- Surprisingly, they can take several large groups in two back rooms. Reservations for groups recommended. Expect wait on weekends.-- With how cramped the seating is, I do not recommend this place for anyone requiring special seating/mobility needs.-- The ample, simple food is consistent in quality, comes out rather quickly, and is decently priced.-- The staff is mature, low turnover, seasoned, and competent.

While vacationing, we tried Hop Sing Palace in Old Folsom. It was pretty typical of California's version of Chinese food for Americans. The decor with a bit dim and worn, Service was average. Probably the best thing we had were the egg roll appetizers. They were hot and had a nice crispness. I had the Sesame Chicken which was identified as spicy - it was not. My wife had Shrimp with Vegetables. Just average.

Love this place!! My boyfriend highly highly recommends their beef chow fun. They also have good veggie chow fun and fried rice. They have big portion sizes and very reasonable prices. Lovely staff. We have come back many times and it remains our #1 Asian spot!
